Default Looking for beta testers for a Mobile photo Blogging App - 11-30-2007, 03:58 PM

We are looking for beta testers for a mobile photo blogging app that we are developing. We are in the finish phase and will start testing soon. If you are interested then please email me [hmb143 AT gmail DOT com] OR PM me with your email address and your phone model, I will contact you soon with details.

We are looking for Pearl and BB Curve users in Phase 1.

We haven't decided if the app will be free when it is live. But we can assure that all beta testers will get it it free (Basic and any advanced versions).

Sounds neat! A general question without asking too much detail, is the app specific to one service? For instance I'm a big Flickr user, my personal interest would be in an app that fully exploits the Flickr API and gives me a killer mobile version like I get on my desktop browser.

I think he wants to know (or at least I do) a bit more about which online services your app will support. Can you update photos to Picasa? Flickr? Custom wordpress sites? something else entirely?

Yes, exactly - there are many photo sharing sites, my general question that matters to me most is which one or ones are the target of the application. I personally am a heavy Flickr user, but have Picasa friends as well so I understand that there's a lot of work to support all of them.

(I'm just rambling for input) As a heavy user of Flickr the features in the application I would be looking for are the same I get in the web browser - recent comments from my contacts, new pics from my contacts, uploading which allowed me not only title/caption but also tags and adding to my personal sets/public groups I belong to, setting the privacy options on my uploads (i.e.e Private, Friends & Family only, etc.), marking pictures as Fave, and browsing the photostreams of other members (as well as Explore, searching groups and all that good stuff). Yes, a lot of features.

The app will in Phase I integrate with Blogs (wordpress, textpattern etc..) and social sites like myspace and facebook. Flickr is in the pipeline.

We are planning a phased launch so we don't rush to add all and offer lip service to each feature.

The questions and comments are very critical for us to build a solid and useful app.

Would like you to join our beta testing and offer a lot of critical comments.

I (personally) would be of no use to beta phase 1, so I don't want to waste your time and energy. But when you get to phase X for Flickr, I'll happily try and help y'all out! I don't use blogs/wordpress/textpattern etc. is all, so I'm not the right candidate yet for your app.
