Default Empower BES Mailbox - 12-03-2007, 03:20 AM

I have seen a lot of great new info regarding the upcoming version of Empower HTML viewer for the 4.3 operating system(Pearl 2 Verizon). I was wondering if anyone has been able to get the BES Mailbox App to work on their Pearl 2 w/ 4.3. If this version doesn't work on this OS as I'm assuming since it didn't work on my phone does anyone have a time frame of when this will work. Thanks.

reallynew - You are right, Empower BES MailBox is currently not supported on OS 4.3 - We will be looking into an upgrade once we are done with the upgrade of Empower HTML Mail Viewer (which should be few days from now).

Thanks,
Ani.

You know, it would be nice if you would put that information on your website...I just purchased and installed it on my wife's Pearl and as noted, it doesn't work...the mailbox keeps showing her hotmail email, rather than her work email.

Can you give me a general idea of when the update will be released, and confirm that the upgrade will be free to me.

Good point about the website, however did you not try the trial version first on the Pearl before purchasing?

danabw - Apologies for the inconvenience caused. I am putting up the OS compatibility for both products on the website. Thanks.

Also, for OS 4.3 compatible BES MailBox, I can't give any ETA. We are tied up with enough work to keep us busy for next 3 months. The best way I can suggest will be to refund the purchase you already made. That way, whenever the upgraded version is released - you can always buy it.

Best,
Ani.

Yes...I installed it, and it displayed my wife's work email in the Empower email folder...looked great, seemed to work fine, so I put her Pearl down and went online to purchase the app.

Then I picked her Pearl up again after I was done, and a few minutes later it was suddenly showing her Hotmail emails in the Empower email folder.

So initially it looked OK, then not.

I have "spoken" via email w/Empower support and they have been immediately responsive and very helpful...when the updated version is available we will be getting it.

So there will be a happy ending to this story.

I'm very glad to hear that you are updating the web page, and thanks for your company's excellent follow-up with me. I am (now) a loyal customer.
