thats what i thought... I signed up anyway... i hope that 4.3 comes out for the curve before the sling beta... or at LEAST before the full release...

wouldnt it be great if all 4.3 OS updates were released the same day as slingbox media player? lol never gonna happen, and if it did, RIM's website would crash

Sounds like Sling is a ways away from starting the beta...you guys may have a good chance that 4.3 for your BBs is out on time.

i dont think they are that far from releasing it as a beta. they have a working version at CES.

In my experience, a working model for a show is often far from releasable code...even for a beta. But just guessing...as Sgt. Schultz would say, "I know nothing!"

The beta is a far ways off, I discussed it with the project manager at CES. It'll be a few months before beta, and end of the year for final release. According to them, anyways.

I saw a demo of the sling player at the Mobile world Congress, it was quite unstable and there was a lot a wifi bug... so most of people saw a video of it, but i saw it work for a few minutes and saw video streamed (on a 4.3.1 OS)
