still down... unless it runs a TON faster, I will pass. It was pretty, but impossible to use for me..... took forever to load and do anything with it.

When i googled Yahoo Go 3 I got a link that said that they are putting the finishing touches on it. I would imagine it will be out shortly.

I caught the announcement on a RSS feed last night, checked this morning - "not ready yet". They've updated the mobile site to now have a link to the 3.0 beta, but it currently says "...we're working hard to get it ready for you today - even if it's by the stroke of midnight".

Try checking again (http://mobile.yahoo.com/ from your BB) later on tonight, I for one am hoping for performance increases and more Flickr widget options. The big news is that 3rd party people can now build widgets to integrate into the code (using APIs and a SDK) which they hope to release within a month.

Wow...a bit of a messy release for them...they must really be scrambling.

The link to the 3.0 beta goes to a page with a link and what looks like 3.0 description, but shows images labeled as 2.0 screen shots...

Nothing on the main or secondary pages about a 9:00 AM time.

There is an active download link there, but it tells me that there isn't a version of Yahoo Go for my 8130 Pearl when I click on it. 8100 is shown as supported...others have "faked" the site to get it on their 8130s, from what I've read.

It has gps and cell tower triangulation like google maps. This is very clean... runs lighting fast on my 8320.... can't believe yahoo had it in them.

Yes, they did a very nice job with this.
Speed is acceptable
Very customizable
Great use of the small screen real estate
As a framework for user written Widgets, it should be a winner.
Very nice as a mobile agragator site

A few things still missing/lacking:
No user font control
Email client is vastly improved (but I'll stick with Google for now)

One thing I like about 3.0 already - they got rid of the "everything must be blue" interface and have made it a better mix of colors. The menus seem a bit snappier, the Flickr widget functionality looks to be identical as the 2.0 (no new features I can see, maybe "Delete Comment" might be new?).

One problem I had with Yahoo Go 2.0 was the address book sync... I have a lot of contacts, sometimes sync would fail, sometimes it wouldn't sync correctly or certain fields within a contact wouldn't sync correctly...

Does anyone know if version 3 fixes these problems?

I hit the back key on the menu, (so it closes it) and I got an exception error and it blew up.. :(
