Default 8130 quick flashlight - 01-13-2008, 06:28 PM

i wanted something similar for my pearl 8130 so what i did was go into the video recorder settings and turned the light to always on...then i went into the device settings and set one of the convenience keys to start the video recorder. now when i want to use the led as a quick flashlight, i just press the convenience button and it activates the video recorder giving pretty good light quickly.

This question has been asked many times. There is no app for using the LED as a flashlight.

i suppose you can power a very tiny blender from the USB port... little chunks of ice would be the most difficult though... *goes to the drawing board*

On the rocks, fellas, please.

I suppose you also like decorative props in your drinks as well, umbrellas and (gag me) fruit?

absolutely not. but JS you have to admit, 100 degree temps, sitting on the beach you still want yours on the rocks and not a frozen one? i only drink margaritas in july and august and always sitting either on a boat or at a friends house who has access to a private beach, and hey, its better than martinis! lol. in all seriousness whenever im home after work, its always beer, Sam Adams cherry wheat or pale ale

Yes, Paul, beer is a given.

In the summer, I normally only consume gin and tonic. But only between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Outside of that, it would be gauche.

i just figured it would be a usefull feature. because god knows when you need a flashlight you can never find one but most of the time you have your phone on you. i figured this question been asked before but why search for a 6 month old thread about something that could have been released a month ago. didnt know asking a question about software in a software section of a forum was a crime wont do it again

Nope it's not a crime at all - please feel free to ask away. We were just having a bit of fun, that's all. This would be a great feature, I'd love to see this developed. I know what you mean about always having my phone but never usually having a flashlight when I need one.

I actually use my BB as a flashlight as it is now however the screen isn't nearly as bright as the flash would be.

Sounds fun. Imagine a release heading:
