Default Opera Mini Missing Feature? - 01-14-2008, 11:32 AM

I asked this in another thread but thought I'd create its own thread as it didn't get any responses...

I've found what I feel is a pretty major missing feature in Opera Mini 4...

I went to aintitcool.com using Opera Mini 4 to search for development status of a movie project I'm interested in.

You'll notice that the search box in the top-right corner does not have a 'go' button to the right... you're expected to type in the text, and then press 'enter' to instigate the search.

Using the BB browser, you can do this... just type directly in the box and then use the enter key.

With Opera Mini, to type in the text box, it brings up that text entry window... you type in what you want to search for... but there is no way that I can tell to force an 'enter' key press after entering your text in such a way that it instigates the search.

Anyone know a workaround?

what happens here is that the form had a post button is not even there. stupid as it sounds, they didn't put it. they are just relying on browsers that have the 'enter in form' property to submit.

It works ok in the BB browser because you can just tap 'enter'...
