Default BBSpell and OS 4.0.2 - 07-02-2005, 05:40 PM

All,

I just upgraded to OS 4.0.2 from tmobile. Everything seems to be working normally with the exception of BBSpell. When I am typing an email I am able to properly perform spell checks. However, when I select a word and press the menu button I see a list of words to select a replacement for the mis-spelled word. When I select the word, the one from two items above in the menu is substituted instead of the work I selected.

This worked fine before upgrading. It looks like there may be an interopability problem between BBSpell and 4.0.2. I am going to try re-installing BBSpell.

Has anyone else observed this or similar behavior?

Thanks,
Paul

We're on it Paul. 4.0.2.32 caught us by surprise. RIM doesnt even make a 4.0.2 simulator available. Fortunately we have a tmo 7290, and 4.0.2 is loading now.

Default Update for bbSpell? - 07-18-2005, 08:42 PM

I just purchased a license for the bbSpell program and found the same issue as described above. I'm wondering if there is an update available yet that resolves this issue around 4.0.2 and bbSpell?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steven,

We are about to release a new version which adresses this issue. It is currently available as a beta. You can download it from here:

In the future, please drop us a note at [email address] - we don't always monitor the forums.

Sorry for not posting sooner - we have been supporting 4.0.2 for over 2 months. The standard bbspell download from our site (2.0.005) will work fine.

jeff

Where do you download 4.0.2 from Tmobile? I'm a T-Mobile User, also with a 7290
