4. Once the limit is reached the application icon contains an exclamation mark.
5. Some bug fixing.
6. On the website separate download links are available for the firmware version 4.1 and 4.2 (see below)

| Hi Axel, thanks for the new version.
Feature request for a future release: ability to not have Autostart enabled (turn it off). I don't run the app all the time (I like it for the Traffic Watch feature, mainly) but everytime I reboot my device MiniMoni starts - I have to go and exit it via the menu. I would like to set a preference to disable Autostart on my device. | | Offline

| Nothing earthshaking, but an observation. In version 1.00.00 and 1.01.01... er well, that last two releases, I lost the ability to save the configuration so that it starts up with the graphic off.
I usually have it set to never terminate, but I have tried various combinations of changing preferences, update now, etc. but it doesn't seem to save.
Now, I can come CLOSE... in that I can actually close the application (with never terminate turned off, of course) and exit, and start the application up and it will come up with the graphic off. But if I restart the phone, it will come up with the graphic on.
That said, after closing it and restarting it (without restarting the phone), I go to preferences, and re-enable never terminate, and save. But I can no longer test it by closing it and restarting (which makes sense). But if I restart the phone, it comes up in graphic mode again.
I feel almost ashamed to bring it up, as this is so minor. So I figure I'm doing something wrong, any suggestions?

that sounds really strange, but I'll try to figure out, what is the reason. It must have to do with the power off power up features I added a few releases ago. But why you are not able to save preferences at all, I have no idea...

AxelE | Hi Axel,
I'd say if you can't duplicate it, don't waste time looking for the reason. Certainly the application does what it's supposed to. I can save every preference setting, just not the graphic state at bootup -- which really isn't one of the settings in preferences anyways. It's easy enough for me to turn the graph off.

| I notice that while on wifi/uma that the app records some data going through the newest version of JiveTalk (1.04 beta.) My options in JiveTalk are TCP/WiFi Preferred and Advanced Connection Parameters direct=socket.
It hasn't always recorded data when on wifi. Any ideas? | | Offline

I think I have it now. If you boot while MiniMoni is running it has no chance to write the perferences befor leaving. And that means as well no chance to write if graphic was running or not. It is not saved either if you save preferences. I might change this so if you write the perferences, the actual status of the graphic is stored as well. The general proem is, that I have not find a way yet to store on reboot. But may I can implement to store this one setting on every toggle of graph. | | Offline

| i'm not sure i really understand how this app works. I've installed it and used data, but nothing shows up, this period still at 0kb.
I'm on Bell in Canada, so i really gotta keep good track of my data usage.
Edit - Researched more, there's no CDMA support? Bummer.

| Hi Axel,
many thanks for this great utility!
I tried it on a BB8800 (v4.2.1.108) and BB8100 (v4.2.1.109) and seem to notice a significant difference, on both devices, in what was being reported by my Service Provider and what was being shown on minimon.
Over the last couple of days my research seems to suggest that none of the "facebook" traffic is measured... I am not sure why though.
Hence, I would appreciate it if you could check this for me...
I also noticed that you are looking into showing BIS and GPRS traffic seperately within the the application; which would be great additional functionality if you find time to implement it.
MfG,

| Very good proposal. Hope I'll find a way to determine when the GPRS connection is canceled and connected new. Because the rounding happens exactly at this point. If I'm not able to catch this event it makes no sense to add an option for the minimum data block size.
For example: My provider drops the connection every 02 h 30 minutes. And at midnight. I'm quite sure, that the rounding to the next data block size happens at these very moments. Quote:

| Axel,
I just wanted to confirm that your app does not track data used via WiFi.
your site says "Counts the IP traffic on GSM/GPRS/EDGE network in byte.", and I just wanted to confirm that this means that WiFi is not being tracked.
thanks in advance for your response. | | Offline
