Either it's too early in the morning for me or I'm just lost.

What is this?

sounds like he was trying to say that he has made an instant alert for gmail via gmail app or gtalk app. Which would be pretty sweet... but for some reason i'm not really trusting this poster...

After a few cups of coffee that is what I figured. So who's going to try this out?

haha, well put. It's Chinese, Korean sentences actually average less than Chinese or English; but C & K use double-byte character systems though, so when you don't have the proper fonts installed you'll see more ???? for Chinese than you will for Korean. With the proper fonts installed Chinese visible length is just about the same as English (just a wee bit smaller) but Korean is usually much smaller to the eye (but in those systems there's also less whitespace between characters, so...). I won't devolve into the linguistics, everyone will fall asleep reading my post.

(this is a big broad general statement, of course it's not always true but it's a good rule of thumb)

I downloaded the zip file scanned it with my anti-virus -- didn't detect it as malware. But I didn't unzip it.

Default I bit the bullet - 02-17-2008, 07:05 AM

I DL the file, installed it, tested it, works fine so far. The notification of a new message is instant. It shows the sender, the subject line part of the body and the time it was sent.
Than all you have to do it go to the gmail app and pull the message.
The only thing i dont like is the fact that there is no customizable audio alert for when new messages arrive. Other than that, I think it works fine. If this can be incoorporate in the gmail mobile application it would be great.
