I know there is another thread that is extemely long so i wanted to hopefully get some answers quickly. I hear BB Alerts is great with one major flaw-that it stops the notification when any button is hit on the device, rather than when you access the area being notified (i.e. email, sms, phone...) Thoughts on this?

BIGGER problem for me. I cannot seem to get this to download OTA. I want to try the trial version quickly and then purchase it by Jan 31 if possible.

Yet, i try the v1.6 link-- http://bbymel.servebbs.com/latest/BlackBerryAlerts.jad and i get error 404: not found.

I have tried numerous times the last few days. Yet, from my desktop i can access that site and it asks to download a .jad. but i cannot use desktop manager from this computer so i need OTA. Can anyone help me? Am i missing something while trying to access OTA from my 8310????
