Default Viigo Users - Update Released 01-30-08 - 01-30-2008, 12:50 PM

So Viigo released a new version today. Supposedly the upgrade is available now, but when I clicked the link, it took me to the same verison I currently have.

Is anyone else having that problem?

Ok I got the update. I had to reload several times. To see the changes (I tested them all, they work), read here:

Is it true that this update has built-in AmEx advertising? If so how pervasive/noticeable is it?

^That was in the previous version as well and I only noticed it in the "Viigo Bulletins" feed.

Does the aggregator work both ways? I mean I have some Viigo feeds that I don't have in Google, will it "push" my Viigo feeds to Google or does it just "pull" my Google feeds to Viigo? Thanks!

So if you want to use the Google feature, it is worth upgrading. Otherwise????

Hi cayzac,

No, Viigo will only pull in your Google Reader feeds.

Viigo will not synchronize read/unread articles either.

To add your Google Reader (Bloglines, My Yahoo,) feeds, go to "Add Channel -> Add Your Own Channel -> Add Aggregator, and follow the Wizard instructions.

It will take an hour or so to sync up all feeds.

Please note: the number of articles that appear in Viigo may not appear in Google Reader. This is dependant on how often the publisher publishes content as well as you update settings in Viigo.

Cheers,
Pete

On the download page, (the one that states version number, app size, etc), launch the browser options menu and click "refresh".

The version number should be 81 or 82 depending on your BB device O/S.

Yes, a little typo on our part.

New Viigo version is 2.2.81 or 2.2.82, depending on your BB O/S.

First timer here...I am getting an error message when I attempt to connect with the Viigo Server. It says:
A problem occurred when trying to create or access your account. There may be insufficient wireless coverage or the serve may be offline for maintenance. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact Virtual Reach support. (Error message: Error executing the command.)

Any ideas?

Actually, I can access everything else normally. I actually went to the Viigo site on my BB while sitting at my desk, which is where I was located when I got the message. Other suggestions?

Do you have the proper APN for your carrier configured in Options->Advanced->TCP?

Mine did too. I've been using Viigo for a while and really enjoy it but I couldn't update any of my pages. I finally deleted it. Everything else on my blackberry is working fine so I know it's the program. I may try to reinstall it again and see how it goes.
