Default email rules software - 01-31-2008, 06:17 PM

I'm looking for some software that will let me set up alerting rules based on a subject or email address. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you are using BIS, you might be able to use filter on subject to create level one message. Don't know but there might be options available to you on BES if that is what your are on.

BBAlerts will do exactly what you want, and a lot more...you can filter on emails based on the Address or Subject fields.

OTA link below...you can use it in trial. Costs about $12, you can buy on Handango if you like it.

BBAlerts - Latest: http://bbymel.servebbs.com/latest/BlackBerryAlerts.jad

This is my favorite BB app.

Sorry man, you said "based on a subject or email address."

For alert by an email address what I mentioned is a free solution. And I do believe you have been given two other good suggestions for by subject. There could be others we've never heard of.

Launch BBAlerts.
Press the BB button
Select "Setup Filters"
Press the trackball or BB button
Select "Add email filter"

C'mon, dude, you gotta put a little effort into it. ;)

I used MessageAlerts from Apptix/Webmessenger. They have said that they will be coming out with a newer version here by the end of Feb/beg of Mar

I don't have a "Setup filters" option on BBAlerts. Maybe that option isn't available in the trial.

You should see the attached...I guess it's possible those options are hidden unless you've registered, but hadn't heard that.

Yup...you need to use the link I provided to get the most recent version.

I've added another screen-shot for you.

There is a very lengthy BBAlerts thread in this forum...refer to it for more information.

I think my work is done here. :D
