Default Beta testing Notifire updates - 07-07-2005, 09:08 AM

Just got the program last night and installed it on the BB 7520. No errors and looks great. Going to turn off my webclient esculation and do all notifications through Notifire to give it a good test.

Yes pretty cool little program. Only draw back is I have to go through and assign all 140 contacts a tune individually. Not sure I am up for that challange. maybe next version could let the standard tune run if nothing is assigned. Thanks for letting me beta test it.

I posted a few screen shots in this post

Very true I didn't think about that I was adding just to vibrate and flash the led. I was thinking something along those lines but maybe being able to setup the group to ring, vibrate ect than assigning people to certain groups and having the group have a time set so say work will ring this tune and vibrate from 9-5 ect.

Might be a plus if the user can setup say a default themselves in the program like if not assigned vibrate, or ring.

It is alot easier that using the webclient to forward emails and promote them to level one to alert you. Thats what I have been doing setting up rules for the BB to alert me if certain emails come in otherwise the BB is slient.

Notifire is from Ingentes. I have no idea about the other company.

Ingentes is a start up company that focus on intelligent mobile/business solutions.

All contacts that are added to Notifire can have the notification play indefinately. So yes if you add a Level 1 contact to Notifire it will play indefinately.

I guess I'm not sure if you understood my question so let me clarify, my BB also acts as my company pager. I have my pager set to forward all pages to [email address]. I then have a filter set so that anything that comes from *@pager.com arrives as a level 1 alert. I have to set a loose filter like that because I don't know who all my page me, all I can say is that is should be forwarded to me from @pager.com.

This is why my questions is, can I make anything that filter determines to be a level 1 message alert me indefinately?

The current version does not provide a *@pager.com setting. This will be added shortly.

I agree its a great app and have not had one issue as of yet.
I am building a wish list though lol.

I fell asleep the other night and my blackberry was on and someone emailed me and yes the thing just kept vibrating till I actually turned it off lol.

So watch who you enable as always alert and indefinate vibrate or tones

Actually, instead of @pager.com it would be nice if it could distinguish level 1 alerts. I have worked hard establishing a complex set of filters to make level 1 messages and all I need is the indef alerting.

I will look into it.

But Notifire should be really easy to add, delete, modify on the fly, no complex setup.

Basically it follows the profile model except that now you are defining them on a per contact basis rather than just ALL messages.

Dawg,

After we pin messg. the other day I installed it, setting up runs great, just like the instructions say, I have hot contacts w/ yahoo, gmail, msn and also a couple @messaging.nextel.com all setup which are in my address book, I hit escape to get out of Notifire and the emails come in but no pop up window
