| Weather Bug Direct or BBWeather? Please Login to Remove! I've been looking for an app that will give me easy access to the weather around.
I found a link for Weather Bug Direct and installed.
It really isn't too bad 1 icon tells me the temp and another icon that tells me the forecast for the day. I can click into the icon and got a lot more details, plus the forecast are taken from an airport a few miles from my house.
My only real con about it the icon tends to change into a wait box (but still shows the Temp) and this maybe from the outage but I noticed my BlackBerry get a bit of delay, like when I click on my media, I have enough time to move the track ball to the next icon. Its only been like this the last days and I have 17 MB free at most.
I can't seem to find an OTA install for BBWeather 0.75, I found it for 0.74 but it didn't work on my 8800. So when I get to my laptop this weekend I will have to install 0.75 to check it out.
Any of you guys have these experiences with Weather Bug or BBWeather? (A search of Weather Bug Direct does not bring any results) | | Offline

Ill have to install BBWeather whebever I get by my laptop, just to check it out.

| If you are correct about Weather Bug Direct being only free for 30-days then the website is very misleading. ( WeatherBug Direct for BlackBerry live local weather plus live temperature and local forecasts direct to your BlackBerry) Quote: |
Announcing WeatherBug® Direct for BlackBerry! Get live, local weather from any of our more than 8,000 WeatherBug Tracking Stations around the U.S., plus live temperature and local forecasts xxx8212; direct to your BlackBerry. Get WeatherBug Direct for BlackBerry today xxx8212; Free!
| The word "Free!" at the end is misleading me, so I might just keep weather bug until it asks me to buy it.... Also in the Advanced Options inside Weather Bug it has an option to Buy so who knows... | | Offline

| blondee028 - Can you rephrase that, which program did you download? What did T-Mobile talk you threw? What did you lose? You browser Pus settings are in the Options -> Advanced Options -> Browser Push.
I haven't noticed Weather Bug Direct drain my battery life. (Not yet anyway, and I work in an enviroment where my BlackBerry is constantly searching for a CDMA signal unless I turn off the wireless network, which I always forget to do lol.)
I just tried going to m.wund.com and it get service unavailable. I found mobile.wunderground.com, I don't an app to download but it opens up just fine in my browser. | | Offline

| Same here, Weather Bug Direct hasn't really had negative issues on my BlackBerry, haven't had to worry about battery life, I haven't needed to pull my battery at all, either and I am going past 2 weeks at this point I think.
My only issue is that sometimes the cool Bug doesn't load I am stuck with a white box with the temp on it lol.

| O cool, at least they now about it.
I consider the bug icon to be superficial anyway but it's still cool lol. As long I still get my weather updates I am a happy camper lol. | | Offline

| The Weather Push don't have my City, while Weather Bug has many locations in my city (one 3 miles from my house) and I get updates so many times a day sent to my BlackBerry (Which is configurable). | | Offline

| It seems BBweather in my city only updates every 12 hours. I live in Erie PA, the weather here next to the lake changes like crazy so that isn't always that up-to-date. I just got my BB about 2 weeks ago and like my Weatherbug. Only problem i have had with it is i can't get it to show the weather on my screen.... I have to hit the icon to get an up-to-date weather temp. I tried to activate it and it read an error about some sort of key not made for this phone.... 8130? All in all still more acurate than the BBweather! | | Offline

| I haven't had any problems with weather bug, but if you get tired of that error message you could try WeatherEye, there was a thread about a week or so ago. Only had a few flaws but it is a pretty decent program.
I myself am sticking with WeatherBug Direct, having it update so many times and hour is just convienent for me. | | Offline

I have Pocket Day which has the weather. Otherwise, I would be using bb weather. Weather Eye is free and has its strengths as well.
