I have a question. I have a blackberry 8830 WE from Verizon wireless. So im unsatisfied with my bb browser. I find out that the opera is a great browser go to try and get it for my phone and I learn that you can't use it on verizon blackberry's. Does anyone know any either way's around this or similar products preferebly free that will do the trick? any feedback would be great thank you
yes i know i just figured it out. my problem was it was in internet explorer browser mode and not blackberry mode. therefore, i would assume it was thinking i was on a computer instead of a phone becuase it wouldnt let me download anything in general until i switched it back over.
I work for Opera Software in the US (Opera is a Norwegian company).
Blackberries are perfect devices for Opera Mini. We would love to see a tighter integration of Opera Mini on Blackberries, but right now we are only able to run as any other third party application on the platform.
To be able to catch URLs from for instance e-mail would be a good first step. As always it would help if people pushed RIM directly on this issue. We will also do our best to make Opera Mini the Blackberry browser of choice.
