Talking wav files on a blackberry - 07-12-2005, 03:48 PM

Hello,

Maybe this idea is very silly but a user would like to receive and play little wav files on his blackberry.
For me it is impossible with a blackberry.

Does anyone know an application which can help me ???
Thankx

Yes...all traditional blackberry cannot play this kind of file. There are 7230, 7730 handhelds, and soon 7290 will be available.
Surely this is not possible natively ( am I wrong ??), but I wonder if a third party application can support this ?
Thankx in advance for your answers.

No Blackberry can play .wav files, polyphonic is as good as it gets right now on 7100 devices.

I'm currently looking for the software that I previously downloaded and will post again soon with the findings.

yep, the only downside to having one is the simplistic ringtones, but everything else is great....

Thumbs up Retrieve WAV file voicemail from BlackBerry handheld - 08-11-2005, 11:39 AM

http://www.itrezzo.com/BlackBerry_Paging_services.htm

From a BlackBerry using the itrezzo Applet, you can click on the .wav attachment and have it call your cell phone and play you the message.

Isn't (or wasn't) Itrezzo for older C++ BlackBerrys (957s). Did they re-write this for the newer Java (J2ME) BlackBerrys?
