Default Opera mini question

Please Login to Remove!

I don't know if it's OK to ask here since they have their own community, but I prefer you guys ;)

I was just curious if there was any way to change the opera mini home page or customize it any. I don't care about any of the links that they feel that I care about, so I would like to replace them with my own. If not, oh well

Secondly, how do I set Opera Mini as my default browser?

Moved to AFtermarket Software Forum

I don't use Opera so I can't remember if you can change that page. I don't think you can.

You can't set Opera to be the default browser.

When you create a bookmark add it using the "Speed Dial" option at the bottom of the add bookmark screen.

As has been pointed out, you could change the default set of links on the Opera Mini start page by adding bookmarks and assigning them to the Speed Dial.

As an aside, if you use the Opera desktop browser, you could easily synchronize your Speed Dials and bookmarks from your computer to Opera Mini.

I saw that Opera Mini is switching their default search engine to Google from Yahoo. I want to make this change but I'm not sure how. I tried to download the latest version but when I try to add it via DM, it shows Opera Mini as already being installed and won't update it. Do I need to uninstall Opera Mini and reinstall it just to get the Google search function?

I would give it a day or two to see if it updates on its own. Mine hasn't chaned yet either. I'll wait two days before I try an install.
