While looking for mobile skype, i came across this.
fring – Make free mobile calls, IM with Skype, MSN Messenger, ICQ, Google Talkxxx8482;, SIP & Twitter, AIMxxx174; & Yahoo!xxx8482;
It states that they use the Skype API, bit are not endorsed by Skype, but that means you can use skype out

The bad thing is, it is only available for Symbian and Windows OS. Anyone willing to try and see if works on RIM devices?
