I hope I'm allowed to write my opinion about a particular 3rd party app - if not, I'm sure someone will let me know. I'm just a little mad that I wasted my money and the maker of this app does nothing...

I wish I would have read through these forums a little more before I decided to purchase blinkberry for my 8130 pearl with verizon. I followed the maker's instructions - installing his jad to find out what my correct imei number was and everything - yet when you go to activate it on your phone, it will just give you an invalid device error message. It is a waste of $10. Like an idiot, I purchased it twice thinking what the heck, it's only $20 and if the second purchase works it will be worth it. Forget it. It doesn't work and the maker does not respond to any inquiries whatsoever.

I had an i730 a LONG time ago and he had the same type of product for those type of phones and it worked perfectly. But his product for the blackberry does not work. His website says it's compatible with 7100, 8100, 8130.

I also purchased the pimp my pearl and color pearl to change the led lights and while they both work, the pimp my pearl seemed to use a lot of battery life and the color pearl froze my screen momentarily so I took it off.

So now I'm back to the basic boring green light. I just wanted something pink to go with my pink blackberry.

I tried pimp my pearl and noticed the same drain on my battery. I wanted an application that would change my LED light based on the type of message I receive, the best app I found for that is BlackBerry Alerts. Check out the forum posting called "New Program Available - BlackBerry Alerts" in the Aftermarket Software forum. What's nice is you can try it for a week to see if you like it. I have an 8130 from VZW and haven't had any issues with it. Plus the developer is very responsive.
