Looking the locations up with "location search" fixed it.

As indicated on the little screen that shows up the first time you run this new version, if you have issues you need to use the lookup function again. If you are using US zip codes everything should work without any lookups. Anything else requires a re-lookup.

I knew I saw that somewhere.....I thought it was on this board but I couldn't fine it. I think I saw the screen you're referring to pop up, but I clicked too fast and missed it (I thought it was a security set up screen). I was using the zip codes before, but I still had to look them up again.

tallen269, when you put the beta back, go into weather settings and lookup each of your locations.

Just to check, if I hit check for upgrade with the beta installed, it says a new version is available, but it is a lower version. I assume this is b/c this is not a completely public beta so it's not actually linking to the newest version?

I'm running 5.2.4.1, and now the satellite images work. Not only that, my 'US Only' radar images work; although that's likely more "North America only" rather than "US only".

Side notes: I do experience slowdown when moving the cursor over the weather section (even if collapsed). All other sections (email, calls, sms, etc.) are fine. By slowdown, I mean if I scroll the trackball from top to bottom of the Today screen, it will "catch" on the weather. Think of it like velcro.

Although I know that the calendar related functions did not change (since this beta only touched weather stuff), for the first time in a year, my appointments sometimes show the next day's appointments but not the current day. Closing PD (not just escaping) and restarting fixes it. I have the look ahead days set to 0 days. The correct time is displayed on PD's main screen. For part of the day, it will show the current days' appointments (and not the next day's), and suddenly part way through the day, it will no longer show the current day, but display the next day's. Again, both the BB time and PD's time agree (they are not 12 hours out from each other, for example). Battery pull, of course has been done a few times.

I have almost always had a problem with the calendar. My screen shows the previous days appointments and the current day. I have tried exiting out and pulling the battery, still have the same problem.

CRS,

So far so good with the beta. Had a couple little issues with getting the weather settings to stick but once past that all appears to be functioning as normal. As previous user mentioned, initially when scrolling past the weather section, it would "stick" for about 2 seconds before scrolling past, but now after a couple reboots due to changing themes out etc...there appears to be no lag now scrolling past weather.

I do really like the new weather icons and I love the new appointment/task detail layouts with the blocks. It would be really cool to get a similar segregation in the overview screen....you know like the option to have the perimeter rectangles I have mentioned from like version 5.17 or so....I like very small fonts and would love to have individual appointments and individual tasks separated by thin rectangles or the similar blocking as in the details. Just an idea.

All else so far working well.

Cheers

crs,

one more time asking for multi-line display for tasks. Any chance of getting this in to a release in the near future? Everything works fine on this beta, including weather in all five of the locations that I have stored.

crs, any plans in future versions to add a bluetooth indicator in PD?
Thanks
p.s. PD is my number one app next to bbAlerts.

klotar, try setting the Use Cal Offset option in general settings to see if that has any effect on your calendar.

Nice new "updated" weather look

*Would love to get the 7 day back to one page.
*Also, what about detailed forecast with Alerts?
*Can you make the temp font larger (when you expand section to show the 3 days), my poor eyes!
*How about a one button key press or maybe return key to change/scroll weather city forecast?

thanks!

Default Weather Bug?

I think I have found a bug. If you use the trackball to pop-up the convenience switcher and go to the weather it opens the weather display as expected. If you then launch the pull down menu and select 48 Hour forecast it crashes every time with the message Uncaught exception: Field added to a manager while it is already parented. Can anyone else confirm this for me and CRS

I just followed bjchantry's steps above and can confirm I got the same error. That is not the typical way I do it and can confirm that when you scroll to the weather section, press the trackball and then select 48 hour forecast from the menu, it comes up fine. However the bug explained above I have confirmed on my device as well.

Cheers
