Arrow Duplicate Berry411 in Home/Ribbon - 07-19-2005, 01:00 PM

Here are the deets:

1. had Berry411 2.2 installed
2. upgraded to 2.3 OTA (didn't remove 2.2 first)
3. upon reboot, I had two Berry411 icons in the ribbon
4. I tried hiding one, but both icons got hidden away
4. frowning, i went to OPTIONS > APPLICATIONS to remove both, and start over
5. There was only one version listed - 2.3 - so i removed that
6. Now i've still got a Berry411 in the ribbon, but it doesn't show up in OPTIONS > APPLICATIONS

thoughts? I've searched the forum, but haven't found anything similar.

See if you can find the individual modules it uses.

I had the same problem, I had to remove each individual module, some were left over. If not I was able to remove it through the Application Loader on my son's 7520.

to be clear, are you offering this as an example individual module, or suggesting this is part of Berry411?

Does the fact that i installed this OTA prevent me from using the application loader to identify/remove associated files on the BB?

Unless you install the same version you downloaded OTA on your PC. you won't be able to easily delete JUST the berry411.

And I was mistaken with the BBToday. You should be able to recognize the Berry411 modules by name easily enough. Plus the model number will be different than the typical 4.0.0.xxx.

hmm...still not with you.

in the APPLICATIONS panel of OPTIONS, there are no files that i can identify that are associated with Berry411.

are you suggesting there is another way to browse hidden files on the BB?

under applications, hit the wheel again. You should see an option for MODULES

In regards to your App Loader question, if the app was not installed on that pc then app loader will not show that as an option to remove.
