Downloaded the new version and works great. The only thing is I can't find the Encyclopedia. I put Encyclopedia in the plugins and it tells me "unknown plugin". I tried to put mobile.answers.com and also %s:mobile.answers.com in plugins and I get the same error. I have a Nextel 7520 if it matters.

Any chance of increasing the field length for the plugins. I've noticed I'm not able to create alot of my custom plugins because of this restriction.

For example:

Unless I'm doing something wrong.

I'm also curious about where the encyclopedia link went - this was my most used feature of berry411, and i can't find any support info on how to invoke it or bring it back.

can anyone who's using 2.5 confirm that this feature persists?

tia.

Many thanks! This is a great application and I use it a lot.

One problem, though. I can't get any listings under movies. Any ideas? Everything else I've tried seems to work fine, though.

Phil,
Thank you for continuosly tweaking and improving an already "must have" application. It is the most used app on my BB other than e-mail of course! Helping improving BB life while helping charities, you are the best!

The encyclopedia is back! If you put Encyclopedia in your plugins you'll find it works again.

Figured it out. The movie listing wasn't recognizing the name of the city, "St Louis." I changed it to "Saint Louis" and everything's fine.

Great program. Very impressed. I highly recommend. So simple and speeds up process of looking for stuff. Thanks for making my crackberry that much more addicting.

Default Problems with Sk65 and Berry411 - - 08-11-2005, 06:04 PM

Phil:

I wrote a while ago you via a link on your blog about problems with Berry 411 and a SK65, particularly a bug where I was not able to save the initial; address information and set the default address. I tried your new version but it doesn't work at all on my BB. It gives me an error about a file missing or something (probably cuz the SK65 runs OS 3.8) You used to have earlier versions on the web site but now they dissapeared. I was trying to load an older version to see if I can make it work.

Is there anyway to get a hold of an older version?

Thanks

This is a blackberry forum not a sidekick forum why are you asking questions about sidekicks here?.

Dawg:

A SK65 is a Siemens phone with BlackBerry built-in... its NOT a Sidekick

Some reading here:

www.siemens-mobile.com/sk65

Or look in the Non-RIM BB forum

Dawg:

Do your homework, please. The phone has full functionality (mostly) as a BlackBerry including Browser, BB applications, Pictures, etc... not all apps are compatible but BB built in is not the same as BlackBerry Connect which is what I assume you're referring to (just email functionality)

And my query is directed to Phil Bogle, since he made Berry411 and I believe that he keeps an eye in the forum for bug reports, etc.

Phil:

Thanks! Thats exactly what I needed There are still some UI bugs with the Sk65 (such as you can only set the address once and then you get locked out of editing the home/work/other address) but it works for what I need to.
