Default email alert software? - 07-20-2005, 08:07 PM

Is there any software available that will check new emails and trigger an alert based on a certain condition (i.e. "server down" in the subject)?

Try Notifire and also Webmessenger - Message Alerts.

Message Alerts is more configurable to what you want.

Both are available at www.handango.com and there is a trial ver. of Message Alerts.

I have used both and they are very good.

What does Notifier do? What do you use it for?

BTW, what is that flag Dawg? Some Nordic country banner? The Vatican? An old crusader flag?

Notifire changes the way you are alerted on email I can set it to continually vibrate and ring or i can set a time out period. I can set it to always go off for everyone or I can set up defaults like work home meeting or always I have my wife set to always my boss set work only then all i do is switch the home work or always option. I have different ringtones set for each group of people some have distinctive tones. Like my Boss is Mission impossible. I have a buddy who is a pilot and i have him set to topgun..

as far as my flag its not important for you to know sorry for the blunt comment but not starting any arguments. Not the vatican for sure I am not catholic

Thanks for the info. I'm not on call to where I would need the service, but it's good to know.

As to the flag, it just looks cool, is why I was asking. Fluttering and all. But you won't get an argument from me, good buddy.

Version 2.0 will support SMS as well as a lot of other features. If you purchase Notifire 1.0.x you are entitled to a free upgrade to 2.0.

It should be in the next few weeks. We are really adding some good features. I think the best one is using your own music files ( right now only on the 7100) version.
