Default MLBTracker 2008 - 03-30-2008, 08:22 PM

For those interested, I've update the MLB Tracker code for 2008. I know a lot of people have emailed me about it so I wanted to let everyone know it seems to be working OK again this year (with a few minor changes needed).

Thanks

Thanks for updating the application. This is one of my most used apps. Love keeping track of Yanks games on the go.

Thanks, went to the website and downloaded the other day and was told the trial or something expired, I was really bummed. This is great.

Sorry bout that - the program works by scraping the data off another site, so each year they change their format a little and I've got to recode parts of the application...

Glad you enjoy it.

Mine works fine on Verizon, but I am on BES, so it is probably using the MDS.

I'm on a BES and I can;t get it to work.....why would verizon limit the freaking programs like this, it just seems odd.

Hey all - unfortunately this program is something I just did in spare time and don't have the ability to test it on other services or phones other than my own. I've seen mixed reports of this working and not working on verizon phones... but I can say that I'm not doing anything "special" to make it work or not work on specific carriers.

My only advice would be to try the "Use DeviceSide TCP Settings" option...(However that shouldn't be needed on a BES phone).

Default Verizon User - Works on Pearl 8130 - 04-03-2008, 12:55 PM

Just loaded the program and after tinkering with different settings I was able to get it working and it is great. Love the app. If anyone on Verizon needs help with their settings, I will try and answer any questions regarding how I have my phone set up.

EDIT ** I am not on BES!

Default OutOfMemoryError - 04-03-2008, 01:38 PM

The new version comes up with the error:

Code:
Error starting MLBTracker:
Error Loading Module 'MLBTracker' OutOfMemoryError.
This is on an 8703e Blackberry,I am on BES and I have plenty of memory left on the Blackberry to run many more apps.

Any idea how to fix it?

I have received a few PM's for the Verizon directions/settings. Here are the settings I changed to get the program to work.

After you have installed the program via the Download link from the post, try to access the application. It will most likely give you an error. Click your trackball and bring up the "Menu". Select "Options" and then check the box under "Use Device TCP Settings" Press the trackball again and select close. Exit the program, by hitting the trackball and close. Then access your "Options" from the main menu (usually the wrench icon). Go to the "advanced options" area and then to "browser push". Make sure all of those are set to "allow" or "auto" feature. Then go into "Security" from the options menu. Then select "TLS". I changed the default to "Handset". Save your changes in that area and you should be good to go. Try to re-access the MLB tracker and it should work. I
