Installed (non certificate version was the only one that would work) seems to run pretty smooth right now. Was hoping m.youtube.com would work on my 8830 :( But of course not.

Works fantastically on my 8830!
Much faster, like a ton actually. Real nice update.
No issues here at all. Will totally use this browser more now.

Everytime I try to open it, it says:

"Error starting operette$2dhifi$2dr$2e1beta: Class 'javax.microedition.io.file.FileConnection' not found."

O_o What should I do?

does this version support the 8700 or is it only for devices that have 4.2.0 and higher?

It seems that everyone is reporting that it is faster but I am finding that 4.0 is about 50% faster. Does anyone have this problem? Also do you need to delete the old version for the new version to work faster?

I did delete 4.0 for the purpose of saving memory and saw no difference

It works faster, but in settings I couldn't change anything. There is no "Select" option in the menu, there are only "Save" and "Cancel". Does anyone have the same issue?

I unchecked the direct address input. I do not know if others were having this issue.

I am very new to bb's (like 3 days) and my biggest complaint was web browsing. Sites look all jumbled up. Someone suggested downloading this opera. So I tried it, both on desk top and on BB. 4.0 on bb, 4.1 beta on desk top. Neither will install. I get a message "failed to connect to the internet. Got to operamini.com/help with your desktop browser or contact your servic provider for internet settings"

Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong? Its an 8320 wifi on tmobile.

8830

I just had my first real opportunity to use it. A friend sent a link and the BB Browser would not bring up the site.

So I copied the link from the email and then opened OperaMini. Here I did run into a problem or issue - I went to the Address Bar but I could not find an option to PASTE the link into the bar. (is there a BB8830 short cut for PASTE?). I then did find I could paste into the google search but that only found the link I already had. But I was able to click it and allowed it to open (so an extra step).

I was impressed the whole page showed up with that +focus box and I clicked and it was perfectly readable.

So any help on PASTING to the address bar?

You guys say there's a 4.1, but when I upgraded all I got was 4.0.10406.
