Default can install but not start - 04-02-2008, 07:35 AM

hello everyone,

i have a problem starting a java application on my 8310 (v422.176). I have installed desktop manager v4.3 and the corresponding device software (v422.176). when i start the desktop manager i can install my application via the alx-file. but when i get back to my device i can't start the application. i see the entry in options-advancedoptions-applications, and also the module but i just can't start ist. an entry in the normal applications view is missing!?
thanks!

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Pardon my dumb question. Are you sure the item is compatible with your device? Installation does NOT ensure compatibility.
Is there an OTA link you can use for your product?

mmhh, what do you mean with compatibility? the application i want to start is a simple j2me-app i have written myself, it is supposed to be used on any j2me capable device. no blackberry specific functions are used. actually it should be compatible to all blackberry devices...

oh, i just found out that the problem arises from the .cod-file i created... i used antenna and the wtkrapc-task... creating the cod-file via the commandline results in a valid cod-file!

i will report my results when i found a solution...

EDIT: couldn't find a solution with the wtkrapc-task, now i build the cod-file using ant and the exec-task which works fine!
