Free TV Guide Application For BlackBerry
Rating: 7.5 out of 10 stars 7.5/10
Link: tvguide.handmark.com
OTA: tvguide.handmark.com
Cost: Free!!!

Handmark decided to flip pricing models on this one. Their TV Guide application is now free and supported by advertisements in the application. Personally I think that is how it should have been for the get go. The information and options in the application are great but it has one fundamental flaw. It is slow as all hell. The process involves. Start the application, wait for download, click, wait for download, scroll, wait for download, select… you get the idea. Just to see the current listing can take over a minute.

I left the setting where it showed Sprint as the carrier even though I am VZW. It would be a nice add on for a program like Pocket Day.

Has anybody figured out how to stop the SMS reminders? I tried it out for a few programs and once it started sending 5-6 SMS reminders per program and was sending reminders for every rerun (even when set for only new episodes) I tried to delete the reminders. Even with no programs in the watch list I keep getting more reminders. Anybody come across this issue?

Can someone tell me how to just view "My Favorites"? I have my favorites channels selected but when I select "Listing", it automatically selects "All Chans". I can't get it to go to just my favorites.

Any suggestions?

Yea, I figured I would ask here before posting there and finding someone already knows of one.
