Default Viigo and Google Reader syncing - 04-05-2008, 07:14 AM

Can anyone here confirm whether Viigo is meant to sync with Google Reader currently or not? Basically I was hoping that if I read an article using Google Reader, then it would show as read on Viigo and vice versa. It would appear at present, when I use Viigo, it will show any recent articles as unread even though I've read them using Google Reader from my iMac. Just wondered if I'm doing something wrong or if this is currently a limitation? Any advice appreciated.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I thought there was at least a one hour delay between direct feeds to Viigo and aggregate programs such as Google Reader, Bloglines, etc with the program.

Been running Viigo since yesterday and no change to the articles status. I even tried a manual refresh on specific channels but no dice.

Quote from the Viigo Blog regarding build 2.2.80 of Viigo, which I've just come across:-

That would appear to be my answer. Something to look forward to then in a future release. I think my version is the latest (2.2.82) so no doubt the read/un-read sync is not included as yet.

They don't sync in the current version.

What isn't working though is when you read an article in Viigo, it won't then show as being read in Google Reader and vice versa. Viigo will import any new articles that appear in any subscriptions you have and also add new subscriptions you make within Google Reader.

So it isn't all bad, just that little final touch of the read/unread thing!
