Anyone use MFRadio on Pearl 8130?

Well, I've been on a relentless search for streaming internet radio since hearing about XM for Blackberry and then realizing it wasn't ready for the Pearl yet. I was unable to get the dollar5 and quickplayer media players to work. I was able to install MFRadio, but when I go to play a station I get an error and the program immediately terminates.

Are there any settings or anything you need to tweak to get this to work? Can it work on an 8130 Pearl? It seems like the streaming radio is not very widespread in the blackberry community.

EDIT: The error says something like "MFRadio has been denied the 'media access' permission". How do I get permission for MFRadio to have media access?

Nobody? C'mon!!

I got it to install, but, well see above!

I got the streaming radio to work from my browser on the somafm channel, but it does seem to drain the battery pretty quickly so it's not very practical unless you have some mega battery. i guess that's my next search..

8130 streaming

I've downloaded the same program, and about three others.
So far I've been able to prove that yes, the 8130 is capable of streaming mp3 stations. I even got my own outbound stream to come in loud and clear, for a most enjoyable 22 seconds. Grrrr.

Like you I'm also on a mission to make this work. It can be done, but most routines I think are so awfully new there are still kinks to be worked out.

i'll be watching this thread (if I can find it again... new to this forum) for any further developments.

Streaming Radio on Blackberry

The BEST thing I have found so far is

somafm.com

Check it out! Its really good and rarely cuts out. THIS is the kind of thing I am looking for!

I couldn't get that MFRadio to work, either, same errors.

But, there has gotta be some other sites like somafm out there, no!?!?

Lets figure it out!
