It turns out I was wrong. BIS was not supported. With version 1.0.7 BIS is now supported. Sorry for my inaccuracies.

Love the 9000!! It's everything I wanted (minus enough ON BOARD memory)!!

I've actually gone back to TinyTwitter for now.

UberTwitter hits the battery hard, TweetGenius still isn't ready for the 88xx series, and despite having sent numerous SocialScope requests, I'm still waiting for an invite.

does tinytwitter have the same features as UT?
BTW, I find when I hit "exit" on UT the battery is great.

So far the following are missing which are slated for the next release:

Love the homescreen visually notifications of new replies and again the animation and graphics are great.

I started using Yatca yesterday. I love how it integrates with the native mail client. Used Tinytweeter prior to this, but didnt like it.

This might be a dumn question, but I have UberTwitter now (it doesn't alert me for some reason and I can't reply to Tweets for some reason, but new version of beta comes out Friday I think), can I also download TinyTwitter on the BB at the same time I have UT on there, or will it goof something up? I guess I'd like to compare the two in real time?

I currently have Twitterberry, Tiny Twitter, Twibble and UT on mine, no issues. Hope this helps, I too am still figuring out which one I like best.

Just go into your permissions and allow all. Easiest way to deal with it.

Yea that kinda sucks to..
(Not that I would pay for a twitter app anyway.. but it would be nice to see why they think theirs is so great you have to buy it.)

Yeah, it's wack that it won't let you download a demo. But I saw the YouTube video, and I trust BoyGeniusReport a lot, so I copped. Definitely worth the $5 I paid

Default UberTwitter for now - 07-02-2009, 11:02 AM

I have been using UberTwitter since it first came out, and it is getting better with each beta release. I don't plan on changing, but I will try SocialScope if I ever get the invite.

I understand why TweetGenius charged from the beginning, but I don't agree with it. BoyGeniusReport has a great following and as somebody mentioned they are trusted, so they expected some people would be willing to pay for it - even without a demo.

However, I think SocialScope and UberTwitter did it right - give the alphas and betas away for free and get everybody hooked. When the first non-expiring GA release is made available charge a fee for it.

Now I don't pretend to know either company's business model, but I don't expect to be able to use Ubertwitter for free forever or SocialScope if I ever get the invite. If they stay free I'll be ecstatic. If they don't, I'll use TwitterBerry or the next great thing to come out in beta. I don't plan on ever paying for an app when there are still free alternatives available, no matter what the difference in features and quality.

Yes, I am just that cheap. 8- )>
