Hi,

This has probably been asked a hundred times and I'm likely just being blind but how often does the Gmail App check for new email? I take it that it doesn't use Push?

On Google, one Help file I found says that it only checks when you send a new message, but that must be old because I get mail without having to send new. In another Help section, I found that it checks every 20 minutes, and isn't configurable. This seems about right. You can test this for yourself.

I've tried testing the refresh period, and the intervals are not regular. Sometimes it refreshes every 5 minutes, sometimes it goes up to 20 min without refreshing.
However, i've noticed that if the gmail web is open all the time on ur PC, the mobile app tends to pull in faster intervals..

Aah Ok, thanks for the info. I was just curious really, I think I've noticed it about every 20mins or so.
