Thanks for all the responses. Sorry it took me so long to finish this. School gets hectic sometimes :P.

Tell me if you experience any problems. Enjoy.

I also forgot to mention, there are 2 jar files (BerryReview.jar & MVSR_Demo.jar) in the "jar files" folder of J2A. You can use these to test the functionality of J2A.

Default Unspecified error encountered [J:0x0000000A] - 06-18-2008, 02:24 AM

Hello.
I must say one fine job you did for the BB community.
I'm totally hooked and could never use any Mobile phone again.
I am using a 7290 and cant get any app to load onto the phone.
this comes when i use the Desktop manager to install the app:

Unspecified error encountered [J:0x0000000A]

Any ideas?

I think the phone is just too old or so.... <-- looks like this

Hi fussler,

Im glad that you've realized the truth of the Blackberry's supremacy over of all other phones . I had a 7105 back in the day when I first started making J2A so regardless of your phone's age you should still be able to get some Apps on it. So do you get this error with all of your converted files? I still havent been able to pinpoint the cause of this error. You can always email the jar's to me and I can give a go at it.

Brandon.

Default kind - 06-19-2008, 10:28 PM

Hey there

Yeah, I even tried to upload those test programs included with the converter.
I would gladly send you the .jar file for you to try out.
Can't find your email...
Anyway the app is called "puppet master" It's a bluetooth app for controlling a windows pc. I only need the plain java for the phone and not the gprs one.
Maybe you know even a better app for this..?
I got it from thepiratebay.org

cheers and greetings from switzerland

fuss

Ahhh,

Someone else emailed me with this same problem a few days ago. My email is [email address]. Can you email me the Jar and the converted cod and alx files along with it. Also what version of desktop manager are you using?

Brandon.

Default problems with using jad 2 alx converter - 02-20-2009, 07:27 AM

First, i'd like to thank you also for your good work for all blackberry users!

But i seem to have problems, when i came to the point where double click is required on JDE directory, it says: Ivalid JDE Blacberry directory... Maybe because i use os 4.5.? Or do you think it's something else?
I tried to find os 4.2... can you tell where to download it?
or what to do?

You have to download the required Blackberry JDE from http://na.blackberry.com/eng/develop...javadevenv.jsp

The latest version should be fine. Then once you download and install it, and J2A prompts you for that folder, navigate to the folder and double click on the correct JDE folder within the Research In Motion Folder.

Default .jad files - 02-26-2009, 01:58 AM

Thank you very much! It works perfectly!
One more question, does it anyhow work on the .jad files also, themes for example (com_plazmic_theme_willywonka_8100, which is jad file).
Is there any way to get that on my bb?
Thank you

Default .jad - 03-08-2009, 02:51 PM

Still can't get no .jad theme on my bb, i tried followed headtailgrep and ramonk instructions and in the end it says (in dos, when Mid2Cod filename is entered), that file is not found and that it would need conversion.
Or if i tried store and download it on my bb, download failed and 907 ivalid COD is to blame…
Can you help me on this matter anyhow?
