Default Application without data plan

Can anyone list the applications that do not use any data plans?
does telenav use any data if you just get directions and not use GPS at all.?
What other applications are out there that do not require any data usage?
Appreciate any suggestions...

TeleNav does use data.
Lots of games out there that do not use data.

Default data usage
I may not be using the correct forum protocol but you seem to know a LOT! Can anyone tell me how using windows live messenger affects the data plan? We are using Bell canada and I believe that the data package was 5(?) MB...so if I'm online with messenger is that using the data? Or is only when you actually send or receive an instant message. (Even Bell didn't seem to know the answer)
Any input would be appreciated.
