I purchased the app and the check for update button gives me an error message HTTP Error 404 Not Found. The page cannot be found.

Could be because there are no updates just yet.

Neil said above "before the end of this week" which was posted on Sunday, so I am assuming he meant this coming week... my guess.

I will check them. I assumed I would have gotten a message that says "you have the current version" or "no updates at this time". I was not aware that the site itself was not running yet.

I meant to report this error as well. Just thought I'd mention it here so it's clear that it's not just something happening to one person.

Great looking app, though I don't think I'll have a need for this. My alarm is in the form of a 3 year old's knee in my back at 6:00am SHARP. Definitely a great app for anyone in need of a faster, better looking, more robust alarm on their BB.

Default yay! - 04-28-2008, 06:55 PM

definitely like this app!
I have the trial of the other alarm app (the mobylo one) and my phone would totally freeze if my phone was locked while the alarm went off. I would have hardest time trying to get the thing to unfreeze after I snoozed.

love the "guitar riff" preloaded sound.
I'm in!

Feature request / suggestion...

The ability to make a quick along more than 99 minutes. Tonight I was going to set a quick alarm to start something in 2 hours, but it only goes up to 99 minutes.

Came across a situation this morning... not sure that I'd call it a bug, but for consideration... I was downloading another application at the time one of my alarms was supposed to go off. I really didn't need the alarm at that point but figured that the alarm would go off as soon as the BB restarted. Instead it missed the alarm.

There's another related thread for questions on this product...
http://www.blackberryforums.com/bbsm...s-answers.html
Is there a way to consolidate it into one thread to make it easier for everyone?

Thanks. I hadn't seen that particular issue addressed (locked keyboard) the last time I checked that thread. Apparently it's slated for correction on the second update.

When the option pops up for snooze I'd like to be able to snooze however long I want to set it at that point for an option.

Just an observation but, as far as hitting snooze or dismiss, if you don't do anything it automatically goes into snooze after the prescribed number of repeats.

I thought that repeat/forever was to loop any selected tone but " forever " really means to loop the snooze. I'ved noticed that the sound only repeats for maybe 3 to 5 times then that's it. I would like the sound to repeat " LITERALLY FOREVER " until i decide to hit the snooze button. How about if i can't hear the sound at the 5th ring? Not good at all. Hope the creator fixes this.

Isn't that how alarm clocks work? I don't think I've ever had an alarm clock that didn't snooze after it finished it's programmed alarm. If I did, I definitely would have slept through more of my early morning classes!

A variable snooze would be nice as an option. However, I don't want to have to select a snooze time every time I want to sleep a little longer. A default/pre-selected snooze time should remain an option.

This is a great product so far. I'm really looking forward to the next release!

Hi All,

What actually happens is after exactly one minute of going off without being attended to an alarm will go back in to snooze mode (and wake up again after that snooze has ended and go off, ...ad infinitum).

Why did we do this? Firstly, it's because that's the way a lot of alarm clocks work. Secondly, the idea is that if you haven't stopped an alarm from going off after a minute chances are you're not there with your BlackBerry so you shouldn't drive your neighbors crazy

As I mentioned earlier variable snooze is definitely in. However, I'd love to know why having your alarm be able to play for more than a minute is necessary (before snoozing, etc.). We even got a request from a customer the other day to make it so that you can actually launch the media player and play a playlist when the alarm goes off, which I'll admit now I just don't understand.

Is there some way people are using alarms these days that I'm totally unfamiliar with? If people want this I'll definitely put it in, but it would be cool to understand how you guys plan on using it. Maybe I'm just a light sleeper?

I understand its an alarm, but I hate waking up to anoying tones. Can you add maybe 1 or 2 MELLOW tones?

It would be appreciated
Actually, I would rather the app be leaner and not include any sample tones at all. Of the 4 included with the app, I haven't used any of them. There are tons of sound files out there to be downloaded and used.

And as far as taking away the auto-reload on reset... NO!!! (Or at least make it an option) This was one of the peeves I had for MyAlarms. I would always forget to start it up after a reset and I've missed waking up because of this.

I agree there are tons of good tones out there, but I actuallly like & use the electric piano and I've heard others similarily use others. They may not be used by all but if you're considering removing them, pls make them available outside the program. That would actually be beneficial as they'd move from the memory to the card. But, they're only 4 short tunes, so I trust they're not big files.
