Default Google sync doesn't connect

Please Login to Remove!

I just downloaded Google Sync onto my T-mobile 8320. It hangs on the initial "Connecting to Google" step. Anyone have any ideas why?

-I have wap.voicestream.com as my APN with blank username and password. I've also tried it with no APN.
-I have the $19.99 Blackberry Unlimited plan from T-mobile, recently switched from a BES plan
-Other Google apps (Maps) work just fine.
-I went into Application Permissions and gave Google Sync "Allow" on everything.
-I've resent service books and pulled the battery.

Any ideas what's going on?

have you tried a battery pull? mine didn't connect until after i pulled the battery and it worked fine after.
