Thanks a lot tateu!

I'm running into a small problem, though. I already deleted BBWeather before installing the new version and although the new version installed without a hitch, when I run the application it says "Error: No Weather Profiles specified" and freezes my 8100.

As if remember correctly, this was an issue with the original software, too but I can't remember what you do to add the profile without freezing up the 8100.

If anyone could help I'd be very grateful!

edit: Found the solution: How do I get BB Weather to work on the 8100 / 8300 / 8800? - BlackBerryFAQ

Works like a champ! It's great to have this application back

Hi how are u. I just read only to this point. I put a thread about my BB Weather not working in the 3rd Party App a couple of days ago. Should I continue reading here? i.e. is it because BB Weather is no longer working? If so gives me a piece of mind and I will look for some recommended freeware.

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

you mean TCP? Yes. In fact, they only work over TCP or BES.

Sorry this is my first blackberry. I guess I meant TCP. I set up my account with my APN info and use my wap browser for the internet. I don't have a data plan.....yet! So this will work then correct? Thanks for the quick response!

Thank you, I set up my profile but it says Tunnel timed out or give me a null error. I disabled MDS proxy but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Nevermind I got it to work. I had to change my APN settings. I wonder why my other APN settings never worked, but my browser worked fine?

Thanks Tateu. I've never used BBWeather before, but it certainly is something that I missed for the last 2 years :(

Not sure if anyone has asked, but is there any way to get a radar image to show? That would be ultra sweet.

Done already. Still that error. I suspect the TCP settings are wrong, but I can't find the correct ones for Vodafone Ireland.

I might try to call their support today!

EDIT: Fixed, needed to add the Rogers TCP settings.

Would it be possible to implement radar into BBWeather? That is the only thing I can think of that would make this app better.

Here is a quick fix:
OTA only, for the moment, I haven't packaged up the desktop version. I will get that up later today.

http://www.tateu.net/software/bb.php?f=BBWeather

This version also contains one other personal change that I made, which I can roll back if no one likes it...When scrolling through the Forecast, Only the days of the week are selectable, you can no longer select and copy any of the other temperature data.

I will work on some of the other suggested changes, maybe over the weekend.

I am constantly checking the weather as I ride motorcycles. WOW, this is an amazing program. I didn't know what I was missing this whole time! An hour-by-hour view would be nice, but this is a great program. THANKS!

Check out the first sticky in this section for latest 3rd party software. A version of weatherbug was just added, and it's what you're probably looking for. Nice app that is truely customizable.

The information provided by this application does not fit in my 8130 screen. My BB's resolution is 240x260. I don't know if this app was written for 320x240, but much of the horizontal information gets cut off.
To the far right, all I see is:

UV Index:
Wind:
Humidity:

... etc because for me to see the actual values I would need to scroll to the right. This is very tedious because it also gets in the way of scrolling up and down when looking at the forecast.

Is there a way for me to make it all fit horizontally so I would only need to scroll up/down?

Thanks for any input.
x2. I just downloaded .77 OTA, and noticed the same problem on my 8130. It's not so much a problem, than it is an inconvenience. The info is there, just have to scroll over to view it.

Is there any way to fix this so all the info fits on the screen? Other than this, the program works great! Thanks tateu!
