Now, how about the maximum limit for importing? Is it my xml file or is there a limit on copy/paste using this method?
Only limitation is by BB OS, available system resources.
I've never tested it to reach out to limits.
But, perhaps, you can. Then let me know of your results.
Thank you

Then maybe I have something else going on, since I cannot get consistently above 4 or 5 records at a time, in my quick testing.

Here's what I use as copy/paste:

It takes this:
<shBook app="MaraTick" version="1.1.5">
<list name="Packing List" due="1241560807208" icon="15" checked="0">
<item name="jeans" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name="shorts" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name="casual shirts" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name="dress shirts" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
</list></shBook>

But NOT this:
<shBook app="MaraTick" version="1.1.5">
<list name="Packing List" due="1241560807208" icon="15" checked="0">
<item name="jeans" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name="shorts" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name="casual shirts" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name="dress shirts" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name=<item name="T-shirts" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name="belts" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
<item name="jacket/sweater" amt="1" unit="0" department="0" done="0" />
</list></shBook>

The second comes back with imported 0 records. Also, when I import another set with the same list name (since I wanted to just add records in groups), it created two lists instead of adding to the first like I thought it would.

That's why I asked how to copy/paste between lists in another thread.

Works fine! I installed it manually via Desktop Manager with the zip file

I had trouble with the OTA install today, on my 8900. I *also* had trouble with the desktop install.

The desktop install worked just fine if I removed MT, then installed the new version. (Was using 1.0.6 - upgrading to 1.1.5)

Could the OTA problem be for users who are upgrading?

I am adding MaraTick as an attachment here.
Once you unzip and save them into your BB's media card, on your BB (8900) device, you can install them locally. No need for OTA or Desktop Manager involvement.
Attached Files
File Type: zip MaraTick_Local.zip (85.0 KB, 40 views)

Hey Ted,
great to see you online again!
How about translate MaraTick in german, we emailed already about it?! It would be an honour for me to help you with that.
Best,
Andreas

I am not Ted, but if you go to his page: MaraTick there is a OTA download link.

I've been trying to install it and I get the same OTA error... 907 Invalid COD etc.

I can't do the desktop install because I'm on a mac. I emailed the developer but got no response.

Also, I just set up this account on these forums and I screwed up my username... it autofilled in with practically my whole email address. I can't find a way to change that.

Thanks for this. It was the only way I could get it installed on my Pearl. The OTA won't work for me.

I noticed it is a older version though. Any chance you could do it again with the latest version? Thanks so much!!

Could someone please post a step-by-step tutorial of how to set up a new list from your desktop and export it to the BB? I know you email the list to yourself, but when I "copy all", it's just a bunch of jibberish.

How do I actually add the ITEMS to the list to email back to myself on BB for a new list??

Thank you!

I've been using measure as a note section (ie name: dog stuff, measure: food, toys, bed)
is there any way to change these so its not so food shopping based?

I've read through this thread twice now, and unless I'm just not understanding the computer language (very possible) I didn't see an answer.
How do we change the defaults? I'm not seeing that option within the program or answer to this previous question.
[using blackberry 8830]

thanks

Hi Ted, I downloaded you app, looks very good. Is ther any chance of getting a PC version so that my wife could write the shopping list on the PC at home then email it to me so I can get the shopping on the way home.

Thanks

Martin

I have an older version of Maratick (1.0.7) with a number of lists on it. When updating to the current version, will my lists remain intact, or do I have to back them up?
