Hi there, I'm finding that I type a lot of similar phrases or pieces of info in emails and txt msgs, and was wondering if I could download anything for my Pearl that will enable me to set up short macros that will be replaced by the longer phrases.

The feature you speak of is built in to the operating system. There may, however, be a cap on characters. Go to Options > AutoText to explore.
