Default Recommended weather program? - 05-20-2008, 11:08 AM

I'd like to have the weather displayed on the home screen rather than have to pull up the program, (if possible).

Also, I was surprised that the weather programs I looked at like Weather Bug, require a monthly fee? Never had that before; whats up with that?

Thanks,

Roll

Please don't double post your questions in the Forums.
http://www.blackberryforums.com/aftermarket-software/

**moving this to Aftermarket Software section**

You will find several apps there, one good one is WeatherEye.

I've got Weather Bug Direct on my BlackBerry and that version seems to be free, I've had it for a few months now. It gives 2 Home Screen icons one for the temp and one for the current conditions outside with pushed weather updates.

You can also try WeatherEye it looks nicer then Weather Bug Direct, but Weather Bug Direct has animated Radars and 7 day forecasts were WeatherEye does not.

You can also use the Weather Underground website which many people on this forums use. I just use Weather Bug Direct for due to the ease of use, all I have to do is look at my BlackBerry for the Weather no extra clicks

For the first time I feel the future might hold something different for me. It's possible I'm fooling myself but I'm willing to take the risk.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I prefer BB Weather because of its accuracy in terms or time and location.
Weather Eye only covers some locations.

That's true, I'm a bit north of Tampa (Spring Hill, middle of no where) and Weather Bug Direct gets the weather from the small airport up the block from me. I have never tried BBWeather since Weather Bug Direct pretty much does everything I need.
