Just a fun app request...

Folder icon app that downloads to the correct place so that standard BB icons can be customized. It should be available on BAW and CAS at a moderate price point.

Default profile "snoozer" - 09-17-2009, 02:37 PM

I'm looking for a very simple app that will allow me to put my blackberry in vibrate mode, but will automatically reset it back to normal after a specified time.

I know there are a few profile switcher applications, but none are quite this simple. Most require an amount of scheduling or coordination with the calendar. I want something that I can set a temporary profile very quickly.

Ideally, I would click on the application icon and be presented with a "snooze" time that I could easily change by scrolling up/down with the track ball. When I have the time (say 1 hr), then I click. The app then automatically puts my blackberry in a predefined profile (e.g. vibrate). After the time is expired, the application automatically returns it to the previous (or preset) profile.

There are numerous times when I put my blackberry in vibrate mode, and then forget to put it back in normal mode. At home, I don't always carry it with me, and I'll miss the phone since I cannot hear the vibrate.

A GPS application that gives you "accurate" total altitude gained. If not possible maybe a barometric pressure sensor integrated into the phone.

I also use GPSLogger and it is a great app. I just wish there was a way to get accurate and consistent "total altitude gained" readings with it.

I could use something to edit browser bookmarks on a computer. Similar to how you can sync/edit bookmarks in Opera Mini, but for the BB browser, which, despite all its shortcomings, I still prefer to Opera.

I've searched around, and haven't found a way to do this. I'm getting too many saved to efficiently maintain them on the phone. Open to suggestions on this - I'm not below some kind of kludgy solution either.

I could use an app that allows me to tune my guitar if I can't find my tuner. I think that would be awesome!

T thought of a 'feature' I'd like added to tasks and notes. I'd would like to be able to strike through words or lines of text. If you had a Task with multiple facets it might be nice to be able to mark parts of them done by striking through the individual words of lines of text.

My second thing I'd like to see that presently DOES NOT EXIST is a Mac Desktop Manager client.
(couldn't resist taking another poke at RIM for pushing this one back to Oct. 2nd)

PowerMac DP G4, Mac OSX 10.5.8

Has anyone found such an application (BB desktop like the Palm Desktop)? I cannot believe that every Blackberry owner has entered all their data with their thumbs..

There must be some unbelievably complex technical aspect I do not understand OR perhaps some proprietary issue?

I'd pay a good sum for such an app.

Anyone?

There are several, Outlook and Outlook Express being two of the most popular. It's that simple.

RIM chose (and I don't blame them) to not recreate the wheel yet once again to publish their own proprietary desktop PIM application, since there are already several good ones available...
