I would love a Kelly Blue Book application. They have a nice mobile site, but if I could just plug all the info into the fields in an app and have it load rather than the way the site does it, that would be awesome.

An application that provides the same functionaly as HP Solve or similar equasion solver in some older Sharp pocket computers.

Alows you to define and name an equasion using variables. Then you 'run' the equasion you're then prompted for each variable. But you can skip one, and Newtons Method is used to calculate the value of the missing variable. I can't even simply emulate this in Excel!

Would be very handy for financial calulations where the 'goal' variable varies depending on the situation.

A calendar within the desktop manager, similar to what Palm has with theirs. I know, I know - Outlook, google calendar, etc. None of them do what my old Palm calendar did - let me have a multitude of color-coded entries on the same calendar. Different colors for work vs. home vs. personal vs. notes like birthdays, etc.

Secondly, a modification to Where's My Phone or a similar program that will turn on my GPS so the phone can be located if its lost/stolen. I don't like having GPS on all the time (battery life, privacy issues) but would like the ability to remotely activate the feature if necessary.

Where's My Phone will lock the phone, emit a really annoying alert tone, display the alternate number to call, and send GPS coordinates if GPS is already turned on. I'd just like it to automatically enable the GPS so I don't have to leave it on all the time.

I emailed the author of that program yesterday to suggest this same feature, so we'll see

Default OCR pen for BB 9700

I'd LOVE to have an OCR pen for the Blackberry 9700. I'd like to do library research, and find a nugget to remember and simply plug such a pen into my BB's MicroUSB port, run over the text like with a highlighter, and have it OCRd directly into a text file on my Berry.

Wirelessly posted (Bold 9000)

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but a BB Boxee remote would thoroughly kick ass.

a working VOIP Client. Integrated VOIP app.
Protocol should be IAX (or at least SIP)
best would be SCCP (cisco like offered for the nokia eSeries)

Default Documents

I use Google Documents to make my grocery list. I would love to be able to add or remove articles from my list on the BB when I am not at the computer.Does anything like this exist?

I might be able to get some local law enforcement agencies to chip in some money to pay for this development so if you are interested e-mail me at jsciii at speakeasy.net. (I don't have enough posts to be allowed to post e-mail addresses.)

Like residents of many cities across the country, our residents occasionally hear gun fire.

I'd like an app that would run on as many GPS-enabled phones as possible that would let the resident face the direction that the gun fire appeared to come from. The app would contact a server at the police department's dispatcher. If enough directional fixes were phoned in the server would estimate the location of the gun fire and notify a dispatcher.

Another useful app might be a "Crimewatch" app. This would be an app that took a picture and emailed it to a central server in as few button pushed as possible.

The idea being that anybody in the city would take a photo whenever they saw something suspicious. The picture would be uploaded to a police server along with the time and GPS data. Then if a crime were committed, the police could check the server for photos near the crime scene at the time it was committed.

Same e-mail,
Jamie

Default price compare

Have been looking but never found an app that I had on my Palm...smart shopper. It could compare 3 different size of the same item and different prices to see which is the better deal. Used it ALL the time...quite dissapointed I haven't found one.

2) Backup Man... back up files to SD card

3) BB counterpart similar to Palm Desktop
