Default Google Mail & BBSmart - 05-20-2008, 11:10 PM

I'm assuming that these two applications don't work together. So what do you guys enjoy more, bbsmart or google mail application?

Will the emails in google mail look like bbsmart or just like the generic emails you seeing without bbsmart?

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

If you are using gmail through BIS/BES, then it will integrate with BB Smart. If you use the stand alone app, then they will act independently.

Okay so I can reap the benefits of both. Now the question I have is: do you guys like the gmail application or just prefer the regular bb integration with bbsmart?

i personally just use the email integration... Thats the key for instant email to me, and my purpose for getting a blackberry in the first place, i had the same idea as the app on my treo, and thats why i left.

Also, i dont want the app taking up all the extra space, more for emails and other stuff.

The only time I could see you using the separate APP is if you need to view an email you sent from the PC or an email you inadvertently deleted an email on your handheld only.

Or searching for an old email with the gmail stars, this works really well, I usually download the Gmail app when I need it and then delete, its no biggy to this, it works flawlessly
