Lightbulb Google Maps and features - 05-21-2008, 09:43 AM

Imagine if GMaps had a feature to "add to contacts" ala old school days like Berry411 and new school "Windows Live Search" in their new release 2.0

GMaps is almost there, with 2.1 on my 8310(OS 4.5 beta) its super snappy what would be cool is if the all the items added to the address book had its own category so in the future if one would want to edit that category or simply quick delete some items it would be easy, you know the local search for the nearest starbuck, pizza hut, etc. etc.

I'm wondering what are your thoughts on this.

thanks

it would be a great add in feature sure - however for simple local and business search, Berry 411 and WLS are more efficient.

If WLS could improve the speed while "adding to contacts" and "looking up contacts" AND add local residential support, then my needs are 100% meet.

WLS looks up contacts already with the new version, its just slow as molasses when compared to Gmaps

I think Gmaps is much faster than WLS and Berry411 for searches, I got fed up with Berry411 and its GPS not working properly it was too much of a mission.

I'll guess we'll have to wait and see

I would like to see it be accessible via menu from the location field of calendar entries.
