Jeremyot,

Installed fine. Map comes up fine. Try selecting nearby cameras the 8100 through a security pop up stating Vizzion is attempting to change a setting and I cannot navigate to say "Yes". Screen is frozen. Had to hard reset twice.

It works fine for me. Unfortunately, there are a lot of cameras that are in my area that are not on Traffic Vizzion. I guess I have to stick to just browsing to trafficland.com

The link from the email was a direct link to the download for me. If you used that one, then maybe, the server is overloaded. Just a guess.

Installed it before I left work. Enabled the Bluetooth GPS, started the application. The application waited patiently for the GPS to find the satellites.

It started to display the images from cameras a mile from my SUV. Pretty cool application.

My wife and I used this program driving this holiday weekend and am very impressed. Usually I either call my mom and have her look at Caltrans. Plenty of coverage in Orange County and San Bernardino and up to date. I recommend the trial version and make sure all the freeways you use are covered before you buy. I will be buying this program.

A quickie while I remember (heading out after getting home late). I was using it and it showed cameras and then I looked down and it showed "uncaught exception" but I have no idea what might have triggered it.

I was traveling on local roads for a while sandwiched between two interstates so it was grabbing from the east and from the west until I got on. But was on the interstate with good camera view when it cropped up.

Also, 8830, I brought up the Menu checking for screen on/off possible but when I pressed the ESCAPE key (right of trackball), I was out of Vizzion. I had to reload it. I guess the Esc key should return to camera view???? Not leave the program from Vizzion's menu.

I like it. Idea - show which direction the camera is looking as an N, S, E, W overlay as while glancing at the "small" image, trying to see which way the camera is pointing can be hard to do. At least, some of our cameras can be switched - not sure if you can capture that.

Also, do you cache images? In my two parallel highways, it bounced eaast and west showing the same camera again but had to get the image. Can't cache too much as memory is premium.

I like it.

FF2, we do not cache camera images. In some situations this can lead to camera bouncing as you described. The reason we always load new images when changing cameras is to make sure that the image is always as fresh as possible as well as to save memory. Try playing with the settings in the options menu. You'll find you can set the maximum, minimum and ideal ranges for cameras. Usually you can stop weird behavior by finding settings that work well for your area.

I hope that helps

Default works good - 05-29-2008, 08:16 PM

i tried it today while driving. i like the way it swithed from camera to camera while i was driving. i jumped off the freeway when i saw the bad traffic ahead. i will play with the settings to try to get a better picture. very nice app. i use to get traffic alerts by email with a snap shot of traffic but this is a lot better.
