Heya - do you mean Freerange News Reader? If so, I use it once or twice a day and don't think I've seen this bug, can you describe it a little more?

yes the news reader - when you click a feed article, and goto the preview - the first line of the paragraph's text is unreadable/overlapping text.

I'm afraid I haven't seen this problem on my device. Maybe it's a theme or font related issue? I'm using the T-Mobile ZEN theme with the default BB Millibank Tall font, and in Freerange reader I use the black theme (black background, grey/white text).

David - its hard to say because 70% of the time it happens. Most of the feeds are doing it. Sorry I cant help more.

You didn't comment on the font/theme thought, what are you running on your device? A lot of UI problems like the one you're having can be caused by this... we can try and replicate it on our devices.

OK, so that's an aftermarket theme - does the problem in Freerange News Reader still happen if you temporarily switch back to one of the themes that ships with the device? I'm not sure what they are on a 8300, but I would think at least the "BB Dimension Icon", "BB Dimension Zen", and "BB Dimension Today" are all available on your device to try, I think they come on every BlackBerry.

When you said it was 70% of the time, I assumed it was random - I just upgraded and it's actually specific to feeds; if does not randomly happen on and off to the same feed so pasting a feed for David would have helped him.

This one works fine:
http://feeds.sfgate.com/sfgate/rss/feeds/bayarea

This one causes the double-line overwriting:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/quotationspage/qotd

It only happens in the preview of a news article and not in the full story itself.
