I am having huge issues with Ringo. Similar to your experience, I have the following issues:
1) Slow interface - rolling the trackball between "general", "user" and "groups" often results in the app hanging and waiting for a while (a bit like Windows...)

2) Slows the BB down. Before Ringo, the BB ran reasonably fast. After Ringo, even in other apps, I get the hourglass symbol appearing quite regularly.

3) It doesn't ring as stated!
There seems to be a major issue with configs and I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with it. The instructions are perfunctory and the helpline is useless.

I have attempted to contact Electric Pocket three times this week (Mon, Wed and Thu) since registering the software on Sunday. So far, they have not bothered to respond.

I am at the point of considering registering a complaint with Handango (where I purchased the software) and deleting this application and writing off USD$19.95 as a complete waste of time and space.

Added to this, I had my backpack stolen last night which had over $1,000 worth of personal electronic equipment and personal effects. Not a happy camper... :(

Yes, I am having the same problem. Bouth mine through handmark.com and trying to find out why it is so slow. I can not even find the application on my blackberry so I can delete it (not showing up under APPLICATIONS).
