Default Vringo/Facebook - 05-30-2008, 05:05 PM

Has anyone tried out the Vringo app on Facebook for use with a BB?
Thoughts?
How is the memory usage?

I just tried it out today. Works pretty well. It appears to just download facebook pictures into your address book. I think once it has done this, you may be able to delete the Vringo and all the pictures could still be there. Don't know for sure though.

Does it seem to be a memory hog?

You mean all the memory that the pictures take up after they download? No idea, didn't check my memory before I downloaded the pics

I synced 30 or so contacts through this and my free memory dropped from 21MB to close to 20MB.

21MB was BEFORE i even downloaded the Vringo application to my phone.

This contact photos are pretty small, so I can't imagine they take up too much room.

Give the application a try if you are concerned. It will let you sync individual facebook pictures also (you don't have to sync them all).
