In a few days you will receive a popup message, prompting you to upgrade to the latest version of Viigo. This upgrade is an important pre-requisite for a range of new Viigo services that will appear over the coming weeks.

The upgrade will be smooth and easy, especially if you already have a Viigo Account ID.

If you do not have a Viigo Account ID, you’ll want to create one so that you can automatically take your channels with you every time you upgrade, or when you switch devices. If you do not have a Viigo Account ID, simply create one by clicking: Options > Account, hitting the Menu Button and selecting Create New Account.

In this upgrade you’ll notice that we’ve removed the WES service and improved performance and memory utilization. Stay tuned for much more; beginning June 12th, you’ll also automatically be entered into our public beta program.

I got one too. Do you think this is the private beta that we all signed up for, or is this something that we're getting b/c we have the WES version?

I guess it's before the June 12th public beta, so maybe this is it.

I don't believe this is for the private beta.

I never signed up for the private beta, but I am using the WES edition, so I think its safe to say its because of the WES edition.

I don't think any of us know one way or the other. Of course, you have to sign an NDA to do the private beta, so there's a chance that people that are already in it just aren't talking.

This makes me think that either we are in the private beta or we got stuck in the public beta. The email they sent out mentions public beta though so who knows until someone confirms that they sent out private beta responses.

Also one more thing, if you look on Viigo's site, Viigo's Project Tango, as of June 3, lists 13 days and some hours. If you add today, June 3, and 13 and some hours you get June 17. So that must be the public beta and June 12th is maybe the private beta??

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I have the WES Version and signed up for the beta.
The email addresses me as the WES user. I am inferring that it will be the new beta that we will get if we already have the WES.

I would assume that this is NOT the widespread release of the private beta.

I signed up for the private beta and I received an email last Friday with a link to a survey. The email said that once all the surveys responses were received they would select the private beta testers and get the ball rolling. So, I'm assuming they haven't sent out the beta links yet for the people who signed up via the Project Tango website and received a survey last week.

I'd imagine that all the people who received the WES version at WES, were probably just automatically let into the private beta. This is probably a good idea because if you attend WES, you're probably a die-hard BB fan and are likely to be a good beta tester!

Good luck to all who signed up! I can't wait either! I hope the audio podcasts are working right away ;)

dumb question, there was a leaked beta download a few weeks back for the new styled Viigo - has that version been updated and is it available? If so what version build is it?

Thanks!

Has anyone said if the private beta has started ? They might use this group this summer to test releases before they release to the public.

Same error message on the viigo.com website when signing in MyViigo account.

Maybe they are upgrading to 2.5x4.5???

I just hope we're getting a new version soon. The last couple of days it's basically been unusable for me. As soon as I open it, I get the hourglass blinking on and off for 5 minutes before I can do anything else on my BB at all.

I have not received the pop-up either.....I have been checking also. As another poster stated...is it weird that I have been doing a mental countdown to today? I have been excited about this update since I got the email on June 3.
