I've been running the trial version of jive talk and liking it pretty well so far. 12 more days on the trial and I'll most likely buy after that. One thing, how do you make yourself visible to only some contacts? Invisible and select unblock to certain contacts still shows as invisible to all. Visible and all but a few blocked I thought was working but I was in that state yesterday and a different buddy popped up and said "WOW showing visible" I have a few people that I like to be visible to anytime I'm available and the rest really don't ever show visible to. If either of us talks and we feel like replying fine otherwise we're just not "on". So what am I doing wrong or what should I be doing different to show visible to 2 or 3 contacts on my list but not the others?

i dont think you can do this. Can you do this on a desktop client?

Alternate solution: Make a 2nd screen name and dont give it to people u dont want to talk to.

I don't think you can do this, aside from blocking individual users that you do not wish to talk to, or you can do as someone else suggested and make a different screen name for such a purpose.
