Default WebMessenger - would the data use be exclusive of my unlimited tariff? - 06-08-2008, 04:00 PM

Hello all, new member to the forum as I have just bought a 8700V to use on O2. I have downloaded WebMessenger and overall I'm rather impressed with it. I've read all the posts about the data that Opera uses not being included in the unlimited data tariff and being charged per MB.

I was just wondering if WebMessenger would follow the same principal. I didn't have to setup any web conneciton specifics e.g. APN and such so I imagine it's using the default profile that the BlackBerry Browser uses too?

Regards,
James.

Welcome to the BBForums!

I am thinking that is correct, using your BIS connection, part of your unlimited data.

Brilliant

And thanks for the welcome, I love the phone so far

I'm going to keep a close eye on my online billing to see if anything gets charged. Paying Ł10 a month on top of my standard contract for 80MB of data - hardly unlimited compared to Vodafones 250MB limit.

Thanks again.
